Björndammens blast furnace
If we continue 10 kilometer from Malmköping towards Strängnäs, road 55, we come to the picturesque village of Björndammen and here is the historic blast furnace, Masugnen.
Björndammen's blast furnace, which is located at a drop in the river between Vårsjön and Ältaren, was started in 1637 and then consisted of a smaller wooden building.
On August 17, we are welcome to "A living cultural heritage" - a full day about cultural environment and building care. Here you will be offered a variety of activities, meeting with skilled craftsmen and cultural historians.
